In Stage 1, team members launch balloons in response to the flight questions. Each balloon is a single response - an idea, feedback, or information. All users invited to the flight can launch as many balloons as they want.

Users maintain anonymity throughout the stage.

When you first enter the flight, you cannot see others' balloons. This is purposeful, and follows best-practices, so that you are not influenced by the balloons posted by other users. No anchoring bias, no evaluation apprehension, no limited or scoped thinking. We want your best, authentic balloons to ensure all diverse perspectives are included!

To launch a balloon, insert your text and click submit

After submitting your balloons

Once you are done submitting balloons, you can toggle on the 'Comment Mode' to reveal the balloons from other people.

You can start commenting on others' balloons.

Everything is still anonymous, so collaboration takes place without names, pleasantries, courtesies or titles getting in the way! Save your "Agree!" or "+1!" because voting is coming up in the next stage.

While collaborating in Stage 1, you can choose to delete any balloons you author if you decide the balloon(s) are no longer relevant to the discussion.  To delete a balloon, just click on the three horizontal dots on the bottom right of the balloon you would like to delete.  Please note that all comments under the deleted balloon will also be deleted.
